Accessible Games

Games are one of the easiest ways for a family or classroom to include a blind child in something everyone is already doing — but only if the game itself is playable by touch. Christy adapts games so blind and sighted players can share the same table without one player needing constant help.

What’s included

• Brailled cards and decks — standard playing cards, matching games, flashcards, and specialty decks with brailled faces that still read visually.
• Board-game adaptations — tactile boards, pieces that can be told apart by touch, and brailled tokens or currency where the game needs them.
• Classroom activities and learning games — spelling games, math games, and center-time activities adapted for a mixed-ability classroom.
• Rules and reference cards transcribed to braille so a player can look things up without asking.
