About / Christy Keller
Care for the material.
Care for the reader.
I’m Christy, the braillist behind Keller Braille Services. I help make words, music, and visual information accessible through braille and touch.
A broad range.
A personal approach.
I work with educators, publishers, organizations, musicians, and families who need materials in braille. My services bring together literary transcription, specialized notation, and tactile information for projects of different sizes.
My transcription work includes literary material and Spanish, textbooks, Nemeth for mathematics, chemistry, and braille music. Music projects can include text in Latin, French, Portuguese, German, and Spanish, as well as piano, violin, and Suzuki-method materials.
I also offer tactile graphics and school maps, braille proofreading, accessibility consulting, educational support, and accessible games. Each project starts with a conversation about the reader and how the materials will be used.
The starting point
Who will use this, and how?
A musician learning a score, a student following a textbook, and a family sharing a game each need something different. Those details shape the project from the beginning.
We can discuss the reader’s experience, the code and format they use, and how the material fits into a lesson, rehearsal, or everyday activity.
